If you have an Authorize.net account, you can sync it to ShootQ so that your clients can pay their invoices via credit card. The client will enter their card information on the invoice, Authorize.net will charge the card, and then the invoice will be marked paid automatically in ShootQ. It's a very seamless experience for both you and your clients.

To connect your Authorize.net account to ShootQ, go to Settings > Payments, Invoices, & Taxes > Collections Types. Then follow these steps.

  1. Click on Authorize.net

  2. Enter your API Login ID and Transaction Key in the appropriate fields. This Authorize.net support article explains where to locate these credentials.

  3. Enter your Public Client Key. This can be found or created in your Authorize.net merchant interface under Account > Settings > Security Settings > General Security Settings > Manage Public Client Key. In the area called Create New Public Client Key, enter your secret answer to the secret question and click Submit.

  4. Save your changes.

You can now use Authorize.net as the payment method on your proposals and invoices.

Note - Refunds: Just like all ShootQ integrated merchant accounts, if you need to refund a client for a payment collect via Authorize.net it's best to do it on the invoice in ShootQ. Navigate to the invoice and click the Refund button next to the payment you would like to refund. Authorize.net will then process the refund and the transaction will be recorded on the ShootQ invoice.

To remove Authorize.net from your ShootQ account, just mouse over it under the Settings tab and click the red X. After that, Authorize.net will no longer be a payment option in ShootQ. Any invoices that were using Authorize.net will revert to 'Collect Manually' as the payment method.
